- Masonry anchors were set in the brick.
- The shelf was fixed to them.
- It was checked for level.
Brick and concrete need masonry anchors and a hammer drill; drywall anchors will not hold there. The shelf length and the load it will carry decide how many anchors go in; a shelf for bottles gets more than one for a few light decor pieces.
