Why gutters clog in Miami
South Florida trees drop debris all year. Live oaks shed most of their old leaves in late winter and spring, palms drop fronds, flowers and seed clusters, and fine sand and silt wash off the roof with every storm. It settles in the gutter, packs into the downspout, and the next heavy rain pours over the edge instead of away from the house.
That overflow lands next to the foundation, splashes the stucco, washes out landscaping and soaks the fascia boards behind the gutter. A clogged gutter that holds water is also a breeding spot for mosquitoes — the “drain and cover” advice from Miami-Dade Mosquito Control applies to gutters too.
Many South Florida houses have gutters only over the entry, the patio or the garage door rather than all the way around. Whatever length you have, a clean gutter and an open downspout are what make it work.
What the service includes:
- Leaves, palm debris, seed pods and silt removed by hand from the gutters
- Downspouts flushed with water and checked for flow
- Small fixes: loose hangers and brackets re-secured, a downspout elbow reattached
- Debris bagged and the ground under the gutters cleaned up

When to clean gutters in South Florida
Before the rainy season. The rainy season runs from late May into October, and the afternoon storms test every gutter. Spring, after the oaks have dropped their leaves, is the best time for a cleaning.
Before and after hurricane season. Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30. A clean gutter carries storm water away; after a storm, branches and debris often land in it.
Under trees, twice a year. A house under a live oak or next to palms usually needs it more than once a year; an open lot may need it less.
What we do not do
We clean gutters and make small reattachments. We do not install new gutters, replace sections, install gutter guards or work on the roof itself. If a gutter is rusted through, pulled off the fascia or the fascia board behind it is rotten, we show you photos and tell you so you can call a gutter installer or roofer.

Gutter Cleaning in Miami — FAQ
How much does gutter cleaning cost in Miami?
It depends on how many feet of gutter you have, one or two stories, and how packed it is. Send photos of the gutters and the roofline to +1 (786) 788-8714 or through the form, and you get a written price before anything is booked. The minimum visit is $200, so pairing it with pressure washing or other handyman jobs makes the most of the visit.
How often should gutters be cleaned in Miami?
At least once a year, ideally in spring before the rainy season. Under live oaks or palms, twice a year, and after any storm that drops branches on the roof.
Do you flush the downspouts?
Yes. A gutter is only as good as its downspout: after the gutter is cleared we run water through each downspout and clear any blockage we can reach.
Do you install or replace gutters?
No. We clean gutters, flush downspouts and re-secure small loose sections. New gutters, replacement sections and gutter guards are a job for a gutter installer.
What do I need to do before you come?
Unlock the gates, move cars away from the gutters and keep pets inside while we work. In an HOA community, check the work hours; we can send a certificate of insurance to the association.
