Pressure cleaning for Miami driveways, pavers and pool decks

In South Florida the trade is often called pressure cleaning; elsewhere it is pressure washing or power washing. It is the same job: water at high pressure, and the right nozzle and setting for the surface, to lift the dirt that a garden hose leaves behind.

Miami’s heat and humidity grow algae and mildew on anything that stays shaded and damp. Pavers under a tree, the north side of a pool deck, a walkway next to the sprinklers: they go green, then dark gray, then slippery. A driveway collects tire marks and grime from the street. We wash it all off and leave the surface clean, lighter and less slick underfoot.

What we clean:

  • Driveways — concrete and pavers
  • Paver patios and walkways, including algae on pavers
  • Pool decks — pavers, concrete and stone
  • Entry steps, porches and side yards

Sealing pavers after cleaning is a separate job: ask us and we quote it on its own.

How we pressure wash pavers and concrete

  1. Clear the area. Cars, planters, furniture and toys come off the surface so every section gets the same cleaning.
  2. Pick the pressure for the surface. Concrete takes more than pavers; soft stone such as coral or keystone takes the least. Too much pressure etches concrete and blows the sand out of paver joints.
  3. Wash in sections. One section at a time, with even passes so the result has no stripes.
  4. Rinse away from the house. Dirty water goes toward the lawn and landscaping, never under doors or against the walls.

Some stains do not come out with water alone. Orange rust stains from sprinklers that run on well water, oil drips on a driveway and old paint need a stain treatment, and not every stain fully disappears. Send a close-up photo and we tell you honestly what to expect before you book.

Pressure Washing across Miami-Dade and Broward

Our Miami technicians work across Miami-Dade and Broward, from Homestead and Kendall to Doral, Miami Beach, Aventura, Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale. Some South Florida HOAs send a notice when a driveway or sidewalk turns dark; a photo of the notice helps us quote exactly what the association wants cleaned.

Pressure Washing in Miami — FAQ

How much does pressure washing cost in Miami?

It depends on the square footage, the surface (concrete, pavers or soft stone), how heavy the algae is and how easy the area is to reach. We do not publish one number: send photos and the rough size to +1 (786) 788-8714 or through the form, and you get a written price before anything is booked. The minimum visit is $200.

Will pressure washing damage my pavers?

Not with the right setting. The risk is too much pressure close to the surface: it scars concrete, chips soft stone and empties the sand from paver joints. We choose the nozzle and pressure for the surface and keep the wand moving. If your pavers were recently sanded or sealed, tell us when you send photos.

Do you seal pavers after cleaning?

Ask us. Sealing is a separate job from cleaning, with its own price and its own drying time, and the pavers must be clean and dry first. Tell us you want it when you send photos and we quote it separately.

How often should pavers be cleaned in South Florida?

When they turn green, dark or slippery. Shaded pavers, pool decks and walkways near sprinklers grow algae fastest in the humid months, so many homeowners clean them every year. Sunny driveways can go longer.

What do I need to do before you come?

Move cars, planters, grills and patio furniture off the area, close windows and doors nearby, and make sure an outdoor water spigot works. In a condo or HOA community, check the work hours; we can send a certificate of insurance to the association, usually the same day.
