Typical steps for this job
The photos show the start and the finish; these are the usual steps in between:
- The mounting bracket was fixed over the ceiling box.
- The chandelier was assembled and its arms set.
- The wires were connected to the existing ones and the canopy closed.
- Bulbs went in and the light was tested.
Branching fixtures are assembled on the floor first and lifted as one piece, so the arms are not bent while the wires are connected. The height of the fixture is agreed first: in a bedroom it has to clear anyone walking under it and still look centered over the room.
