Typical steps for this job
The photos show the start and the finish; these are the usual steps in between:
- The old belt came off the frame.
- The deck was set back on the frame.
- The belt was fitted over the front and rear rollers.
- The belt was tensioned and centered while running.
A belt that is too loose slips under the foot and one that is too tight wears the motor, so it is tuned with the treadmill running. The belt is also lubricated if the maker calls for it, since a dry deck makes the motor work harder.
