The job
Before anything was drilled, the layout for two framed prints was drawn on a phone with the measurements written in. The after photo shows both prints hung one above the other on a white wall beside a doorway.
Typical steps for this job
The photos show the start and the finish; these are the usual steps in between:
- The spacing and the height of the two frames were planned on a phone sketch.
- The positions were transferred from the sketch to the wall with a tape and a level.
- Hangers were fixed at the marks.
- The two frames were hung and leveled against each other.
Measuring first is what makes two or more frames line up; guessing by eye leaves a row of extra holes in the wall. A sketch also lets the customer approve the layout before any drilling starts.
